How to Install Oreo 8.1.0 on Any Android Device (no root required).

Hello Friends,
Today I am going to tell you how to install custom ROM android version 8.1.0 Oreo on any Android Device without rooting the device.

First of all, if there is an official update for your device then your device automatically download and update over to Oreo. You can check that by going to Settings and tap to About Phone and click on Check For Update or Updates.
However, if you do not get it officially and want to get Oreo on your device, you will have to manually install 8.1.0 Oreo on your device. It is a simple two-three step process only takes about 10 - 25 minutes and should work on any device whether old or new.
In order to install custom ROM, the only requirement for this to work is you will need to flash a custom Recovery on your device. Custom recovery allows you to safely backup your current android version and lets you easily update over to Oreo without connecting your phone to your Computer.

Goto Google search engine and enter your device model + custom recovery as if your device model number is GT-2341, just type "GT-2341 custom recovery" in google search engine. You can find your device model number in settings under About Phone. Here you will find a lot of sites, I suggest you go to the site XDA developers forum as it is most trusted. After going their download the custom recovery for your specific device.

Once a custom recovery is flashed you are all set. Now the only thing which you will need is Custom ROM file.

How to get Custom ROM file:

  • In order to download the custom ROM file, you will need to note down your actual device name and device model number.
  • Once you note your device name and model number, go to the google search and type your device name, device model number with the XDA custom ROM at the end (e.g; if your device name is Galaxy S4 and model number is GT-47219 then type "galaxy s4 gt-47219 XDA custom ROM").
  • After going to XDA developers forum there you will find a bunch of custom ROMs. Download one of them which suits your taste.
  • Remember one thing that some custom ROMs does not come with google apps like play store, google maps etc. In that case, you might have to download Google apps known as GApps also from XDA forums as well.
  • Once Custom ROM and GApps are downloaded and safely placed in your device storage we move over to install them.

How to Install the Custom ROM:

  • First of all turn off your device completely. Once your device is turned off go to the custom recovery mode by pressing the set of hardware buttons. For most of the devices, it is the power button + volume up or volume down and for some devices, it is the power button + home button + volume up or down. If none of these work, you can comment down your mobile name and model and I will definitely help you or search it on google for your device.
  • Once the device is in the custom Recovery mode, you need to do three steps, its Backup, Wipe and Install.
  • First of all click on Backup, what it does it creates a complete backup for your devices current android version. If something went wrong you can restore it back.
  • Once the backup is done, hit on Wipe and erase everything except the storage in order to create space for custom ROM.
  • Alright once the backup and wipe are done, now it turns to install the Custom ROM and GApps (in some cases, where GApps are not included in custom ROM).
  • To install Custom ROM and GApps, tap on Install button and locate the files where have downloaded them. Do not forget to select both of them. And Oreo will start installing on your device. It will take some time to get installed and booted.
  • After it is completely installed on your device you can check it by going to Settings and then About Device.

That is it. Hope you understand everything. If you have still any doubt you can comment down, I will definitely help you.
And do not forget to share it with your friends.

Thank You,
